Properties: Light magnesium oxide is an extremely loose white powder (8―10ml/ g). Heavy magnesium oxide is a very tight white powder (2―4ml / g). Melting point 2800℃, after absorbing water and carbon dioxide it change into a post―basic magnesium carbonate. almost insoluble in pure water,ite solubility increasing together with the carbon dioxide increasing in water, pH value of saturated aqueous solution is 10.3. Not soluble in ethanol. Soluble in diluted acid.
Usage: Alkaline agent; neutralizer; anti―caking agent; anti―thinner; adsorbent.
