Remain stable in inorganic acid aqueous with hydrocarbons coexisted. 1g L-leucine can soluble in 40mL water or 100mL acetic acid. Slightly soluble in ethanol, soluble in dilute hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide and carbonate aqueous. Insoluble in ether. Essential amino acid.
